Why do I need video on my wedding day?

Many couples who express one regret about their wedding day wish they had added videography! You get to see relatives, family and friends again long after the event in a real-life and moving way that photographs alone cannot reproduce.

How does booking work?

We offer an initial 30-minute consult. Based on our conversation, if you decide to proceed we will share a contract with the package you have requested. From there you sign and place a deposit to reserve the date, after which your date is set in stone. The remaining balance is due usually two weeks before your wedding date.

When can expect my films?

Each wedding video package may vary in turnaround time, but generally Serenade Pictures aims to complete the teaser video in 2-4 weeks and the rest of your films within 2-3 months.

Can I choose my own music?

For the highlight reel, we usually draw 1-2 songs from high-quality royalty-free stock music libraries. We base these choices off the vibe of your wedding, what seems to work with the footage, and to match our aesthetic standards. You are welcome to make suggestions or requests, or even to browse our stock library and share choices with us. Your social clip is delivered without audio so you can set it to whatever audio you want in Instagram/TikTok etc!

Do you travel?

Yes! Eric’s work has taken him around the world, to film TV segments in Colombia, Portugal, France, Austria and Japan. We would love to add Serenade Pictures’ weddings to that list, so are willing to work with you on a special deal if you want to have your wedding abroad filmed.

Can I add-on raw footage/How do I get raw footage?

We can provide raw footage, with prior planning! Usually this costs a separate fee unless otherwise noted in your package. It will be important to discuss how you want to use the footage later (IE do you want to re-edit the footage, or do you just want to view it?)

What does ‘coverage’ mean?

Coverage is the amount of time noted in your package that we spend recording events on the day-of. Please note, coverage of your pre-wedding and reception does not mean everything filmed during that time will necessarily be shown. We strive to show the very best moments in your highlight reel, though if there are parts of the day you want to see in detail that can be arranged.

How does drone footage work?

Drone footage adds huge production value, though is subject to weather, interference and occasional flight restrictions. That said, most of the time our drone flights are successful!

Are there travel fees?

For weddings in the Seattle or Portland area within 25 miles, no travel fee applies. Beyond that range a travel fee (varies) may apply to cover gas/car expense. Ferries, flights, trains or rentals to access the venue(s) will be billed in full.

Do you work alone or with others?

On the day of your wedding, Eric Harrod, our principal videographer may either arrive by himself or with a 2nd (or even 3rd) videographer, according to prior arrangement.

Can I request a revision?

We offer up to one free revision—assuming a fairly straightforward change taking up to an hour or two in editing—to all clients, if they so choose. However, we’ve almost never needed to!
